Carnival Leaflets
Thanks very much to all those who volunteered to deliver a few leaflets. These are VERY important, please deliver them or hand them back, no questions asked if unable to deliver, and another volunteer witll be found. Please please do NOT just throw them away or ignore them, we can then ask for a grant.

Woodley Carnival
The District is thinking of having a Scout Centenary Float, suggestions so far (Keith), old canoes with holes in as a walking canoe slalom. Any other ideas?

Loddon District Centenary Activity Day, Woodley Precinct, Sat 7th July
Aerial Runway
For the Loddon District Centenary Activity Day we plan to run our Aerial Runway down Woodley Precinct! This would be an excellent project for the Explorers. Mark E and his Dad will need to be closely involved on the design and setup. Current suggestion is Mark's Dad's tower and two heavy vehicles as the anchors. Mark to purchase new bungy ropes. Colin to look at a clip and pulley rope system to pull Scouts to the top, then a leader posted at the top of tower to unclip the rope, let Scout descend free-style, then lower clip and rope end to be pulled back to start point again.
This would save the complexity and risk of each Scout having to manually climb the tower.
Gateway
Our other plan is for a major pioneering project gateway with all the District's flags mounted on top of it at the Reading Road entrance to the precinct. Flags from all Groups will need to be borrowed for the day.
Please note: All Explorers are expected to attend

Scouting Centenary Sunrise, 1st August 2007, Paddicks Patch

OK! I know the Explorers already have 2 Sunrise Events in our calender.
BUT! For all those Explorers not able to attend either of those two Camps, we have a full blown local Loddon District Scouting Sunrise event here in Woodley at Paddicks Patch on the 1st August for the world wide renewal of the Scout Promise at 8am. Bacon sarnies supplied.

Please note: All Explorers not on Expeditions are expected to attend at 8am for the Promise renewal
